Founded by Home Missionary Reverend Audrey Fiegl in 1983, it was the first Apostolic
church in the Highland community and is referred to by its current members as, "The
ARC".  Originally a store that sold cheese, many of Highland's citizens still refer to it as,
"The Old Cheese Shop."

Highland is a thriving community of about 9,800 people and was originally founded by
Swiss pioneers in 1831.  The village still maintains authentic Swiss Architecture in most
of its buildings.  The church is located on the corner of Illinois Route 143 and Country
Lane about one mile north of Highland.

ARC's Pastor, Reverend Frank Crossin, Jr. was born April 2nd, 1968 at St. Mary's
Hospital in East St. Louis, IL.  He is a native of Southwest Illinois and grew up in the
Belleville area where his parents, Frank and Nancy Crossin, Sr. still reside.  Pastor
Crossin graduated from Crossroads Christian School, St. Louis, in 1986 and graduated
from Gateway College of Evangelism, Hazelwood, Missouri, in 1991.  He met Denise
Burton, who hails from Rochester Hills, Michigan while they were attending Gateway
College and they were married on December 29th, 1990.

He was licensed as a minister of the United Pentecostal Church (UPC) in April of 1992
and worked as a youth leader in the Edwardsville UPC for the next two years.  He was
the Troy, IL UPC Youth Pastor for three years and then leader of the Home Bible
Studies for the next two years.

Pastor Crossin came to Highland as Pastor of ARC in July 1998 when Pastor Feigl
retired and moved to Pennsylvania.  He was ordained on July 16th, 2002 and resides
in Highland with his wife and three children.
